Our Approach
Local organizations lead.
PWC invests, strengthens, and amplifies.
PWC builds collaborative partnerships with established, locally-led nonprofit organizations in Haiti and Central America. Rooted in the countries and communities they serve, our partners are the local experts who understand the challenges firsthand. By investing in their leadership, priorities, and proven approaches, we help advance sustainable water, sanitation, and hygiene solutions where they are needed most.
Our partnerships are built around three core areas of support:
Strategic Investment: We fund the priorities our partners identify as having the greatest potential to improve health and well-being in communities they serve.
Organizational Strengthening: We provide collaborative support in strategic planning, organizational development, and capacity building, including guidance in marketing, fundraising, and human resources, to help our partners grow stronger, more resilient, and more effective.
WASH Promotion: We elevate safe water, sanitation, and hygiene as a global priority by amplifying our partners’ programs, needs, and impact.
Our Model
PWC’s funding model is designed to ensure strategic alignment, accountability, and long-term impact. We combine an annual grant cycle with collaborative support to strengthen the capacity of our partners. Grant funding is aligned with strategic priorities identified jointly with partner organizations.
Prospective partners complete a comprehensive assessment process that includes financial, organizational, and programmatic reviews to ensure alignment with PWC’s mission and standards. Organizations selected through this process enter an annual grant cycle, with funding decisions based on shared goals, clear outcomes, and responsible stewardship of resources. Partners provide regular reporting on program outcomes and the use of funds. Requests outside the annual plan are reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
Every donation to PWC is invested thoughtfully and strategically, guided by our vision, mission, and the trusted partnerships we build with locally led organizations creating lasting change.
