Our History

Pure Water Collaborative (PWC), Inc. continues the legacy of Pure Water for the World (PWW), an international nonprofit that implemented safe water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) programs across Haiti and Central America for 25 years, reaching more than 925,000 people in over 750 communities from 1999 to 2024.

Former PWW staff remain deeply committed to helping families and communities in need of reliable access to safe water and sanitation, by continuing to deliver WASH education and comprehensive solutions in Honduras, as Agua Pura para el Mundo (APPM) and in Haiti, as Dlo Pwóp Ayiti (DPA)

Recognizing the significant challenges faced by these two organizations, including securing essential funding and effectively building capacity, former PWW staff and board members in the United States came back together to establish Pure Water Collaborative (PWC) in August 2025.
